While working for BT Ireland, I have also developed an automated testing framework using Windows Forms, written in C#, and using an MS SQL server to validate test data and store test results, and an indexing service to improve site-wide searches on customer sites. In addition to developing new systems, I was partially responsible for ongoing maintenance of the iPublish content management system.

Implementation and documentation of a knowledge management, innovation management and collaboration tool for Small-Medium enterprises using Microsoft IIS, C# on ASP.Net, and SQL Server 2000. This project was part-funded by Enterprise Ireland. Additional technologies used in research included Microsoft SharePoint Services, Java, and XML. Implementation and documentation of a bug tracking system for small projects using PHP, MySQL and Apache on the MacOS X and FreeBSD platforms, so as to ensure quality control within research projects.

I was responsible for adding functionality to the senada.com e-greetings web site, and the Clarios Managed Messaging Platform on which the web site was based.
Functionality which I added included a commerce component, including credit card processing, and subsequent implementation of the same commerce-related functionality in WML for a WAP browser.
Technologies used included Microsoft IIS on Windows2000 using VBScript ASP Pages, interfacing with SQL Server, to generated either XML or HTML, for wireless or online browsers. The XML was then parsed depending on the browser platform to WML, HTML for PalmOS, or HTML for PocketPC as required. Credit card processing was performed using the cybersource SDK, and I was responsible for integrating this on both online and wireless platforms.

I enjoy bicycle touring. In May of 2001 I cycled 1000 miles from Seattle to San Francisco over 18 days. I took part in the Croí Lough Corrib cycle completing the 75 mile circuit in 2002 and 2004, raising money for charity in the process.
